The Famous Grouse blended malt scotch whisky 10 years old is created from the finest single malt whiskies including The Macallan and Highland Park, which are left undisturbed for a minimum of 10 years.
Only then are they brought together in marriage in cask, allowing the whiskies extra time to be blended together to create an exceptionally smooth and rounded character.
Best for: drinking in the dark thanks to dodgy bottle colours
Nose: caramel and citrus becoming zesty, particularly when water is added
Taste: smooth with mellow fruit flavours
Verdict: close, but no cigar, which is perhaps why this one’s been discontinued
