Martell is a top producer of cognac. He always created pure and soft cognac, without using liquor’s residue to redistill. Most of the Martell are distilled from grapes planted in Borderies.
Distillation
Liquor, after distilled twice, is aged in oak barrels:
- The barrels are parched for at least 2 years.
- Distillation process increases the quality while decrease the alcoholic strength.
- Oak used to make barrels is Tronçais, instead of Limousin.
Martell has shown its high position in the world of cognac’s brands. The first appearance of L’Or de Jean Martell has made a great gap of class and luxury of Martell with other cognac’s brands.
Martell V.S.O.P
Martell V.S.O.P is a soft, complex alcoholic drink. Its labels are carve with the image of a gold medal and the portrait of King Louis XIV, who ruled France at the time Martell is “born”.

Martell noblige
Noblige is inspired from a France’s proverb “Noblesse Oblige”, a message about noble class’s behavior culture: having a responsibility with their status. It is also a commitment that Martell has inherited and kept from 1715, a mark of the founder – Jean Martell
Martell Cordon Bleu
Martell Cordon Bleu is created by Edouard Martell in 1912. Its attractive flavor has a big position in Cognac’s brands and attracts a great amount of high-class drinker.
