Becherovka

A traditional herbal liqueur produced in Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad), Czech Republic, since 1807.

Its unique flavor comes from a secret recipe blending over 20 herbs and spices (including cinnamon, cloves, and bitter orange peel), using the pure spring water of the Karlovy Vary region.

• Alcohol content: 38% ABV (76 proof)

• Tasting notes: Pronounced aromas of cinnamon, cloves, and orange; initial bitterness followed by a gentle sweetness and warm herbal finish.

• Created by Josef Vitus Becher and developed further under Johann Nepomuk Becher in the early 19th century.

• Currently owned by Pernod Ricard (or possibly another corporation according to the latest reports), with the recipe known only by two people and made in a secret room at the distillery.
